How to wear your MOFRA extensions
- Start with dry, brushed hair. Day-old hair holds clips better than freshly washed hair, which is too slippery. Brush out every tangle before you begin.
- Section two inches above the nape. Take a horizontal section about two inches above your hairline at the neck, not on the nape itself. A weft placed too low shows the moment you move your head. Twist the rest of your hair up and clip it out of the way.
- Backcomb the roots, then clip. This is the step that decides whether your extensions stay put. Lightly backcomb the roots along the part to give the clips something to grip, then open the clips, rest the weft close to the roots and press each clip shut, centre first.
- Work upward, section by section. Let down a new horizontal section about an inch higher and clip in the next weft. Keep going up through the set, always a little in from your hairline so nothing peeks through.
- Stop below the crown. Never clip above the crown of your head. You need enough of your own hair left on top to cover the wefts completely.
- Finish with the small wefts. The narrow one- and two-clip pieces go last, one above each ear, for volume around the face.
- Brush through, then style. Release your own hair over the wefts and brush everything through together. Style after the set is in, never before, so your hair and your extensions move as one.
Your set has 7 seamless wefts of graduated widths. Match each weft to the width of the section you have taken, the narrow pieces belong at the nape and above the ears, the wider ones sit across the middle of the head.
Finding your shade
